MANANARA LODGE is located in Anjozorobe primary forest, 100km north of capital Antananarivo, Madagascar. Anjozorobe forest is one of the last vestiges of primary forest of the Malagasy highlands: A Darwin’s promised land, home to 11 species of lemurs, 82 species of birds, and many more strange endemic reptiles and amphibians that can only be found in Madagascar; Over 100 species of plants amongst which rare and wild orchids.
Our ecolodge offers an exclusive forest experience with all comforts, far far away from civilization, roads and people: a unique silence, only broken by the Indris’ calls. MANANARA LODGE offers a exclusive forest experience with all comforts: only 5 tented bungalows (2 doubles and 3 twins) tucked in the forest, all with bathroom (shower, bathtub, toilet & hot water), a chimney, kingsize bed or twin beds, electricity (evenings & mornings) and a terrace with view on the forest. A Malagasy and European restaurant, where you can enjoy meals by the cosy chimney fire or on the terrace. A unique silence, we are far far away from civilization, roads, people… A silence only broken by the Indris’ calls.
