The corridor of Anjozorobe-Angavo is one of the last vestiges of natural forests of malagasy highlands. Its scenery of hills intercalated by shallow rice fields characterizes it. The forest, distinguished for its localization between oriental and central parts of the island, is an extraordinary wealth in biodiversity, insomuch scientific and competent administrative authorities classed it as a prioritized zone of conservation.
